NATADOLA, Fiji -- Anthony Houston shot a 7-under 65 on Thursday in the Fiji International, leading 10 Australians atop the first-round leaderboard. Ryan Suter Jersey .Houston eagled the par-5 17th and had six birdies and a bogey at Vijay Singh-designed Natadola Bay.You think I might have played aggressive, but I didnt, Houston said. I just played to where I thought I should and just holed a few putts. He closed with a birdie on the par-4 ninth. Its always nice to birdie the last, Houston said. Its nerve-wracking but its where you want to be.The European Tour is sanctioning the event for the first time, teaming with the PGA Tour of Australasia.Stephen Leaney and Jake Higginbottom were a stroke back, Jason Norris, Damien Jordan, Matthew Giles, Aaron Pike and Aaron Wilkin shot 67, and Ryan Haller and Matthew Griffin followed at 68.I didnt do anything spectacular, Leaney said. I just did a lot of things well.At 47 years old, hes playing a limited schedule.Id rather watch my kids grow up, but I still work hard, Leaney said.Brandt Snedeker, coming off the United States Ryder Cup victory Sunday in Minnesota, topped the group at 69 along with fellow Americans Boo Weekley and Ryan Carter.Singh had a 70. Barbados Tridents 173 for 5 (Pooran 81, Taylor 2-37) beat St Lucia Zouks (Rampaul 2-22, Parnell 2-27) by 25 runsScorecard and ball-by-ball detailsBarbados Tridents 20-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran smashed a career-best 81 off 39 balls to propel his side to 173 and set up a comfortable 25-run win over St Lucia Zouks in Bridgetown. The hosts needed impetus at 51 for 2 in the ninth over, after openers Kyle Hope and Shoaib Malik were dismissed within seven balls of each other. Pooran provided that during a third-wicket partnership of 68 off 40 with AB de Villiers. After de Villiers departed in the 16th over - miscuing a Jerome Taylor slower ball to deep midwicket - Pooran took complete charge of the innings. He hit a four and a six off Kyle Mayers in the 17th over, and followed that with three fours and a sixx off Shane Watsons 18th. Jonas Brodin Jersey. Zouks never got going in the run chase. Ravi Rampaul knocked over Shane Watson for a duck and kept Andre Fletcher to 20, which ended up the top score of the innings along with the extras. When captain Darren Sammy played onto his stumps off left-arm seamer Raymon Reifer in the first ball of the 14th over, Zouks were reduced to 84 for 6. A double-strike from Wayne Parnell, the South African left-arm quick, in the 17th over left Zouks in danger of being bowled out but they just about managed to prevent that.Tridents registered their third win of the season, out of six matches, while Zouks languish at the bottom of the points table with one win out of four. Opposites attract Let the first dismissal be … amam-ul-Haq. Gerry Cheevers Jersey . To us he is simply Inzi and all that it encapsulates: chubby big brother with a bit about him turned avuncular bearded wonder. Inzamam-ul-Haq sounded overbearing and underhanded (which he sometimes was) but Inzi was that friendly, bear-hugging beast of a talent (he mostly was) that we grew to love and wish to remember. The trouble with memory, though, is our wishes are rarely granted. Going back, for instance, to the 1992 World Cup, Inzis rudely prodigious entrance to the highest stage - that composure, that grace under pressure - is always checked by a counter image: the famous Superman run-out from the game against South Africa. In hindsight, the narrative symmetry is almost too good to be true. It seems inevitable that Inzi would be the scampering victim as Jonty Rhodes announced the ascendancy of modern fielding and the new reign of the gods of cover-point.Rhodes, not the most blessed of batsmen, made a career out of athleticism; Inzi, natural ability personified, seemed to treat the concept as haram. That dismissal foreshadows the rest of his cricketing life: Inzi the master old-world swordsman who refused to accept that the world now fought with machine guns. The straight man Cricket offers a fair amount of pantomime; if you like that sort of thing, Inzis run-outs are a treasure chest of mirth. However, his run-outs of team-mates are on another level altogether. A man alone can make us laugh, but it takes an ensemble at the top of their game to have us rolling in the aisles. Stranded together with the great man at the same end, Inzis partners regularly found themselves unwilling participants in a farcical double act.It probably happened to everyone Inzi played with (including, of course, the tail: for all the talk of his belly, Inzi was Pakistans spine). Mohammad Yousuf was a frequent fellow farceur in this regard; no great runner himself, theyd have called Yousuf the new Inzi if he had not been so thin. The fate of being sold down the river by crickets big blue whale, however, appears to have befallen Wasim Akram more than it did anyone else. Of these misfortunes, at least in the 1999 World Cup, against Australia at Headingley, it was Inzi himself who got sold. Its epic YouTube: facing Damien Fleming, Inzi gets rapped on the toes, suggests vaguely he might run, before returning to the crease. The manner in which he falls recalls the wonderful bar scene from Only Fools and Horses - in ultra-super-slow motion. What makes the moment extra special is the pleading from Waz as he storms towards Inzis end, increasingly cognizant that his toppled partner aint moving. The sounds seem to emerge from the deepest core of the mans very soul. If they ever make Inzi: The Opera, this run-out should be the first audio reference.Immovable object One would think that, with all that bulk, Inzi would be the safest bet in the game when it comes to not minding being hit. Two instances when this was not the case serve as refutation. In a Test against England in 2005, the bowler, Steve Harmison, fielded a shot hit back by Inzi, and then hurled the ball stumpward. Inzi was actually in, until he lifted his back foot just before the impact of ball on wicket, and so was out. What surprises is the balletic movement of his calf; the delicacy of the raised foot; the decorous way he gets himself out. Inzi pirouetting his way to evasive action - the incongruity is thrilling.Less than three months later he was out obstructing the field against India, after the ball was fielded and thrown at him by Suresh Raina, only for Inzi to strike it with his bat. The appeal wasnt India greatest moment, but then neither was the shot by Inzi the best course of action. Another man would have seen the incoming ball, turned in double time, and got back in. And this is the problem with all these dismissals: for all the funny business, one cant quite shake off the idea that if hed been a little more on the ball, the near-great Inzi would have made it over the line. He would have reached that tier - Lara, Sachin, Ponting - of which it must be said he falls tantalisingly short.Defying physics Momentum is mass multiplied by velocity. Let us apply this to Monty Panesars 2006 dismissal of Inzi, in which the big guy went for a sweep, missed, and somehow tumbled back and over the wicket, brushing off the bails with his chest in the process. Watch it again: theres something off.Well allow for plenty of mass, but the velocity variable seems to come from nowhere. Its worth deliberating on this, because Inzi often suspended the usual laws of the physical world. Despite his resistance to training, he must have been absurdly fit to play all those long innings in such heat. For all his body weight, he had the deftest of touches and wielded the bat as a poet does a Mont Blanc. And then theres the most telling detail: an Inzi in good nick would bend the very nature of time, playing the worlds top pacers as slow-medium filth. But back to the dismissal and no fancy talk can get away from the fact that its hilarious. I showed it to my lads the other day, and laughter filled the sky. At the time, England celebrated gleefully. Looking at Andrew Strauss, Matthew Hoggard, Paul Collingwood and the rest giggle their schoolboy contempt towards the big fella just compounds the moment. You feel sorry for him, but you dont feel sorry for enjoying the spectacle. (And you also remember that Inzi had spent the previous year pummelling that England side to all corners.) The last dismissal Pakistanis wont forgive the cricket world for too often reducing Inzi to a caricature. The talent seems to be acknowledged politely, before heading on to the real stuff, which, it appears from their tone, is that the man was a joke. The country has legitimate claim to calling out this injustice. Like with so much else, they know deep down in their hearts that the semblance of truth is largely self-inflicted. Inzi didnt bother with running; he didnt learn the rules on obstructing the field; he did one too many mad things, like forfeiting a Test and running into a Canadian crowd in search of a moron with a megaphone. But he was a wonderful batsman, and he deserved a great departure. Instead, in his last match, a Test against South Africa in Lahore, he was stumped second ball off - wait for it - Paul Harris.Nevertheless, this tragedy too bolsters his legend. Theres something Falstaffian about Inzi, and even his sad farewell mirrors Shakespeares pitiful banishment of his wonderful creation. Like the barrel-chested wit, Inzi was nuance, soul and heft stuffed into a human body brimming with too much life. Like Falstaff, he was harshly dismissed from the stage, not given an ounce of the fanfare that accompanied send-offs of other heroes. We might also say that Inzis young, sprightly, scheming successors had something of the tedious Prince Hal about them. Indeed, following Inzis last innings, who came to the crease to see the draw home? Inzis captain, a 25-year-old mediocrity called Shoaib Malik. Its a cruel world, and in the tragicomedy of his dismissal, it seemed altogether crueller to Inzamam-ul-Haq. Milan Lucic Jersey . Mike Krzyzewski found a silver lining in his No. 1-ranked Blue Devils losing to Kansas at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night. The fact that we fought hard, that we played against a really good team, and then shake hands with them because they hit a big, big shot and played really hard, Krzyzewski said after the last-second shot knocked the Blue Devils lost to the No. 7 Jayhawks. You learn a lot from playing at this level of game and thats why this Champions Classic is so important for these four programs (No. 2 Kentucky clobbered No. 13 Michigan State in the other game) to be able to play in games like this. The Blue Devils opened the season with easy wins over Marist and Grand Canyon in the home-court opening games of the Naismith Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament and Saturday will face Penn State in the opener of a double-header at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn.No. 21 Rhode Island and No. 24 Cincinnati play in the nightcap and the winners meet on Sunday for the title, with the losers vying for third place. The Nittany Lions are also 2-1, but the loss didnt come against Kansas -- it came at home to Albany in the opener. Its what he did in the last few minutes. The Blue Devils held Kansas to 2-of-17 from 3-point range and come into this game limiting their three opponents to a .148 percentage from behind the arc. On the other side, Duke enters this game having made at least one 3-pointer in 950 straight games. The Blue Devils also come in with the reigning ACC rookie of the week in Frank Jackson, who is averaging 16.7 points, two assists and 2.7 rebounds in his first three college games. Despite the tough shooting night, Allen is averaging 17.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists.Theyre shooting the heck out of the ball from three (38.6 percent) right now, Chambers said. NEW YORK -- The Mets circled the bases in record fashion like the cartoon Gas-House Gorillas in front of Bugs Bunny, then handed fans the shirts off their backs. Benoit Pouliot Jersey .They hoped a 17-0 rout of the Phillies on a melancholy Sunday was not this seasons Citi Field finale. It really kind of sunk in today that it was the last regular-season homestand, pitcher Noah Syndergaard said. The clubhouse was like, we dont want it to be the last game we play here this season. On a difficult day filled with sadness following the death of Miami star pitcher Jose Fernandez, the Mets produced the largest shutout victory in their 55-season history and the teams highest-scoring game at Citi Field. Asdrubal Cabrera hit a seventh-inning grand slam, Jose Reyes had four RBI with a two-run double and a pair of bases-loaded walks, and Curtis Granderson reached 30 home runs for the first time since 2012.Even slumping Jay Bruce had his first multi-hit game since Sept. 4.New York moved one game ahead of San Francisco for the NLs top wild card, with St. Louis a half-game behind the Giants for the second spot, and fans chanted We want playoffs! in the ninth inning. Hoping for their first consecutive postseason appearances since 1999-2000, the Mets close with three games each at Miami and Philadelphia after finishing 44-37 at home.Injured second baseman Neil Walker expects success on the road.Hopefully spray some champagne, he said.New York improved to 23-11 on its stretch run with another pitching performance from a surprise fill-in. Robert Gsellman, a 26-year-old making his sixth big league start, allowed three hits over seven innings, struck out a career-best eight and walked two, leaving to a standing ovation. He also reached on a bunt single in the third for his first major league hit; Philadelphias defense was puzzling, given that Gsellman (3-2) has a torn left rotator cuff and cant swing. If the Mets reach the Division Series, the tattooed right-hander could get a start because of injuries to Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom, Steven Matz and Zack Wheeler. Gsellman made his big league debut on Aug. 23.It kind of came pretty fast, he said.New Yorks previous high for runs in a shutout was 14, against the Chicago Cubs in 1965 and Cincinnati in 1998. New York scored 25 unanswered runs after falling behind 10-0 in the fourth inning Saturday night.Wearing 1986 commemorative uniforms for perhaps the last time this year, the Mets batted with the bases loaded 11 times in 50 plate appearance. Reyes came up with the bases full four straight times. We needed one of those, Mets manager Terry Collins said. Our bullpen was shot.In a matchup of rookie starters, Jake Thompson (3-6) allowed three runs and five hits in four innings, and the Mets abused Philadelphias bullpen for three runs in the fifth, five in the seventh and six in the eighth. Phillies relievers allowed 28 runs -- 27 earned -- over 17 innings in the four-game series.I dont think we got much length and then the bullpen came in and didnt do our jobs, said Frank Herrmann, who gave up Cabreras slam.James Loney hit a run-scoring double-play grounder in the second, and Granderson led off the fourth by driving a 0-2 changeup into the bullpen in right center. Granderson has just 56 RBI despite getting 30 homers for the fourth time -- with 10 in his last 23 games. Now the Mets head to Miami, where Fernandez will be honored before Mondays game against the Marlins. The All-Star died early Sunday in a boating accident off Miami Beach.Tomorrow is going to be a rough one for everybody, Collins said. Im sure theyre going to be all fired up to not only beat us, but in honor of Jose.HONORING FERNANDEZAt the suggestion of chief operating officer Jeff Wilpon, Mets star Yoenis Cespedes taped a No. 16 jersey with Fernandezs name on a dugout wall. Like Fernandez, Cespedes defected from Cuba by boat.Thats not something that I would ever recommend to any ballplayer in Cuba, to maybe leave the way that we did, Cespedes said through a translator, but those who have I very much admire.HOMER HAPPYNew York hit a team-record 112 home runs at home and has 212 overall, also a franchise mark. Thirty-two of the homers were hit against Philadelphia.AT THE GATESundays crowd of 35,093 raised the Mets home attendance this season to 2,789,602, up from 2,569,753 last year and the highest since the club drew 3,154,262 during Citi Fields inaugural season in 2009.OUCHNew York set a team record when four batters were hit by pitches -- Cespedes, Rene Rivera, T.J. NAPLES, Fla. -- If an American wins the CME Group Tour Championship, it will be an upset. As another LPGA seasons ends this week at Tiburon Golf Club, thats not an insult but a fact.Whether someone from the United States has her hands on a trophy late on Sunday afternoon, it has been a historically weak season for American women golfers on a tour founded and based in this country. Only two Americans have won LPGA events during 2016, Lexi Thompson at the Honda LPGA Thailand and Brittany Lang at the U.S. Womens Open. The fewest LPGA titles claimed in a season by Americans was four in 2011.We are outnumbered out here, says 39-year-old American Cristie Kerr, the defending CME defending champion, and thats what people seem to lose sight of a lot. We do our best and carry the whole country on our backs, and hopefully people can realize that. That the LPGA arguably is sports best melting pot -- there are 127 players from 28 countries other than the United States on tour in 2016 -- is no news flash. As long ago as the late 1990s, there were dozens of international LPGA members, and Stacy Lewis (2012, 2014) is the only American to win Rolex Player of the Year in two decades.Yes, the United States won the 2015 Solheim Cup over Europe and won the 2016 UL International Crown in a field that included teams from Asia, the hotbed of womens golf. But the paucity of American individual success is still jarring. Ranked fifth in the world, Thompson, 21, is the only American in the top 10, with Lewis (13th) and Gerina Piller (18th) the only other U.S. golfers in the top 20.I find it a little scary, says Golf Channel analyst Judy Rankin, a star player in the 1960s and 1970s. I almost hate to say anything to put more pressure on the American players, because I think they feel it. There is no doubt its a sticking point. I am really hopeful that there are big crops of juniors coming up in the U.S. that might be the next wave.Efforts to boost youth participation in the United States are underway and growing, with 60,000 girls now involved in the USGA-LPGA Girls Golf program. The PGA of Americas Junior Golf Leagues are popular too, with 36,000 participants. The same goes for the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship, a skills initiative from the Masters Tournament, USGA and PGA of America in which finalists compete at Augusta National Golf Club. But growing the game, to use the biz-speak term that has filled so many conversations in the golf industry in recent years, doesnt necessarily translate into emerging elite American young women who can compete toe-to-toe with international competitors. There is very little depth in America right now in the womens game, not a big pool, says veteran instructor David Leadbetter, who coaches world No. 1 Lydia Ko, the Korea-born New Zealander. Whether pros or amateurs, if you took the 10 best 18-year-olds from the U.S. and South Korea and had a competition, I guarantee you it would be a complete whitewash. Thats just the fact of the matter.Talented female golfers in other parts of the world frequently are immersed in golf at younger ages through organized channels of a national scope -- federations or associations charged with developing and supporting young talent. No existing American entity has that responsibility. It really is a missing link here, says Hall of Famer and 31-time LPGA winner Juli Inkster. Places are trying to grow the game but not really grow individuals. We dont have a federation to push our young athletic girls into golf, and weve come to a point where we need a federation to really grow top-level golfers. Im not saying our girls arent good, because they are. But theyve grown up in a different type of golf atmosphere. That overseas atmosphere, particularly in Asia, often is an intense and focused approach.Theyre starting earlier and working harder, veteran instructor Jim McLean says. Youve got to give the South Koreans credit -- they start the girls early and they train. Its P.C. in America to say you want a well-rounded child, you want them to do a little bit of this and a little bit of that. But if you look at the greatest people in the world, the greatest achievers, theyre not well-rounded, theyre laser-focused.None of the women in the current top 10 of the world rankings went to college (although several have or are taking online courses). Many players overseas look at it from an occupation standpoint, a jobs standpoint, Leadbetter says, Look at Lydia: When she was 5, her mother decided that she was going to be a golfer. Theyre almost pros when theyrre 16, and theyre fully mature tour players when theyre 18 or 19. Cheap Sabres Jerseys. Im not belittling anyone who goes to college, but whether college prepares them for the tour is another question. The globalization is well underway on American campuses. The University of Washington won the 2016 NCAA womens golf championship with two players from New Zealand, one from England, one from China and one from the United States. This year, longtime coach Mary Lou Mulflurs team has a similar international makeup with a majority of players from abroad. We have certain things we look for in a kid, and it just so happens of late people we bring in are international kids, Mulflur says. Its a combination of things, but if you put us coaches in a room, we would probably say there is more appreciation for the opportunity. Most other countries, you either turn pro and become a golfer or you go to school and become a doctor, accountant or whatever. It takes a lot of nerve to move 5,000 miles from home to where you dont know anybody. The sacrifices people make are quite great.Neil Coulson is the director of golf at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where aspiring athletes in nine sports go to school and train. Approximately 80 percent of the female junior golfers are from outside the United States. A native of England, Coulson spent 15 years as a senior executive for IMG Golf in Asia before taking his current position.I think there is a different work ethic in Asia, Coulson says of youth golfers in that part of the world. There is less of a need for instant feedback than required in the West. If juniors over there can understand the goal, they will try to achieve the goal even if it takes a long time. They are willing to work longer to achieve a goal than a Western child generally would.Overseas, developing players also tend to experience less than ideal conditions, things that can contribute to toughness and creativity. When you look at the way other countries train, Mulflur says, they dont always have the most perfect practice facility or every blade of grass cut perfectly, and greens that roll at 12 [on the Stimpmeter] all the time. They just learn to play the game. All one has to do is glance at Thompsons Instagram feed to see her strong work ethic. There are frequently workout pictures. The other day she posted an image of her hands, calloused and blistered, after a long practice session.I dont think its a lack of effort, Rankin says. You have a bunch of players from around the world who are very talented, who are very work-driven and seem to have a very special mental attitude for the game. I think that plays well for them, many from the Far East, for the long haul.At age 21, Thompson, who won her first LPGA event at 16, has seven career wins, including a major. Rarely, though, is her putting as good as her powerful ball-striking. Thompson is ranked 61st in putts per green in regulation for 2016.Inkster laughed when informed that, at age 56, she is the only American in the top 10 in that important statistical category.Lexi and Gerina, too, theyre good putters but not great putters, Inkster says. You can say what you want about hitting the ball, but if youre not putting well, youre not going to win. When Lexi wins, she putts well. Thats the bottom line. Most of the Asian players can roll the rock. Thats where you make your living.Whether the formation of new programs to mold elite female golfers would help their short games is an unknown. But there is growing consensus that unless some type of coordinated approach is developed in America in which kids of all financial backgrounds take part, the LPGA landscape of 2016 might be the long-term future despite Kerrs contention that the lack of wins is just a blip.Theres no reason why it shouldnt happen, Coulson says. Whether you could get everybody around the table to come up with an aligned strategy and make it happen is probably a different discussion. There are a lot of stakeholders, and they all have their own interests. Its quite easy to produce participation, but that doesnt mean youre going to produce elite players. Can a bad year lead to good things?Golf is a global game, and people are coming from all over to the LPGA because its the best tour, Mulflur says. They want to succeed at the highest level, just like the American players do. Good for them. They are pushing us to be better. You either step up or fall behind. Its hard to believe that its been 20 years since the Magnificent Seven became the first U. Radim Vrbata Jersey .S. womens gymnastics team to win Olympic gold as a team at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. And its even harder -- for those of us who remember the day firsthand, anyway -- to imagine its been 32 years since little Mary Lou Retton scored a perfect 10 on her first vault at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles.Saturday night at Olympic trials, more than 140 former U.S. Olympic gymnasts, including the members of the two most famous teams in U.S. history, turned out for a family reunion of sorts in San Jose. The more distance I get, the more inspired I am by the remarkable women on my team, says Dominique Moceanu, who was 14 at the 1996 Games. When we come together, theres a level of respect for what we accomplished. It radically transformed the landscape of gymnastics in the United States.Of course, the loudest cheers of the night were for the tiniest woman on the 1984 team. I was so excited. It was very special walking out on stage to represent the 80s, Retton said. The 80s was the best decade. While gushing to the media about her former teammates, Retton also revealed they almost didnt compete wearing the stars-and-stripes leotard for which she is so inextricably tied. When we first saw the 1984 Olympic leotards, we didnt like them at all. We were appalled, she said. We said, We cant wear the flag! We hated them. And now we all laugh about it because it was the best thing that could have happened. Vincent Trocheck Jersey . After Mondays hard-fought loss, the wait seemed longer than usual. Uniteds eighth defeat of a wretched campaign means Liverpool, which currently occupies the fourth and final Champions League place, could go nine points clear of its fierce rival by beating West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. Charlie Adam scored both of Stokes goals at Britannia Stadium either side of Robin van Persies equalizer, with a miserable day for seventh-place United capped by first-half injuries to centre halves Jonny Evans and Phil Jones that forced them off. . Tiger Woods?and Bridgestone formalized a relationship Thursday, as the brand announced it has signed the former world No. 1 to a multi-year deal to promote its golf balls.Woods, who turns 41 at the end of the month, will be featured in all advertising for the brand, including print and television ads. Hell also be on packaging and point-of-purchase displays.Financial terms were not disclosed.Finding the right golf ball is extremely important, Woods said in a statement. Its an essential part of my equipment.Woods has been evaluating new deals by having products sent to him, but he hasnt interacted much with the brands.Thats exactly what happened with Bridgestone. We supplied him with product, but we had no communication with him and didnt have any way to help influence his decision, said Corey Consuegra, director of marketing for Bridgestone Golf.In the end, Woods picked the Bridgestone Tour B-330s ball and put it in play at the Hero World Challenge a few weeks ago in the Bahamas.Tiger did a lot of testing, but this is the one that came out to his liking, said his agent, Mark Steinberg. It was always about finding out what was best for him and what he liked best before putting together the structure of a deal. The Bridgestone ball is the third brand that Tiger has used since turning pro in 1996. He used Titleist balls in the beginning of his career until 2000, when he switched to Nike. Woods will continue to be a Nike ambassador, as he has been for the past 20 years, but the company decided in the fall not to manufacture golf equipment aanymore. Keith Yandle Jersey. While the golf ball market is flat like the rest of the golf industry, Consuegra said Tigers decision helps validate the credibility of the brand, whose most notable spokespeople include?Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker and Fred Couples.Bridgestone is the third-most popular golf ball in the business behind Titleist and Callaway, according to industry tracking firm Golf DataTech. While the pie might not be growing, we think we can take pieces of the pie from others, and Tiger joining us is key to that plan, Consuegra said. There is one new potential challenger in the game. In the past couple of months, Costco started selling golf balls for $30 for two dozen ($1.25 a ball). The companys website shows that the balls have sold out and are getting restocked later in the month.?The Tour B-S330 sells for $45 a dozen ($3.75 a ball), which is in line with other higher-end balls. As for the other clubs, Steinberg said Tiger was still testing and no decisions had been made. At the Hero World Challenge, Woods used TaylorMade woods (driver, 3-wood, 5-wood) and a set of Nike irons he had played with in the past. There was initial buzz that Woods could be an endorser for Bob Parsons PXG brand, but that thought took a hit when Parsons told Golf Digest?he thought Woods game wasnt what it once was.We never discussed a deal with Tiger, but I assume after that comment, our odds got slimmer, Parsons told Cheap NFL Hoodies Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys Wholesale Nike NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Free Shipping Jerseys NFL China Wholesale NFL Autographed Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping ' ' '

Progress has been made in labor talks as Major League Baseball and its players union are meeting Tuesday to discuss a new collective bargaining agreement, sources told ESPNs Buster Olney. With both sides inching closer to an accord, hope is emerging that a new labor deal will be put in place.?The last big hurdle for MLB and the union in CBA talks is the competitive balance tax, sources said. Commonly referred to as a luxury tax, it is used by sports leagues to penalize teams that spend past a certain threshold, thereby theoretically leveling the playing field between large-market and small-market teams. Some agents are completely perplexed by the impasse, with some believing MLBPA leadership needs to communicate with the rank-and-file players about whats at stake.I dont think a lot of players know why there would be a work stoppage and the impact it would have on them, one agent said Tuesday. The current agreement expires Thursday, and the two sides are in negotiations in Dallas. The conversations have been far from seamless, and though sources on both sides believe the unsettled issues are not of such gravity that they threaten the integrity of the upcoming season, talks have progressed slowly. MELBOURNE -- The Australian Boomers must finally announce themselves as one of the premier teams in world basketball, coach Andrej Lemanis says. Sebastian Aho Jersey .The physical Aussies dominated the Pac-12 All-Stars in their second and final contest in Melbourne on Thursday night, surging to a commanding 93-63 win at Hisense Arena.Having finally sorted out his insurance paperwork after crossing from Cleveland to Milwaukee during the NBA off-season, star playmaker Matthew Dellavedova slotted back into the team but was subdued in collecting only two points, three rebounds and four assists.Patty Mills (29 points) and Aron Baynes (19 points and eight rebounds) were both superb against the visiting Americans, with the Boomers improving greatly from their nine-point win in the opening encounter. The squad departs Australia for Rio on Wednesday, and speaking after the victory, Lemanis said the Boomers had to finally prove their credentials on the biggest stage of all. With this group theres that little bit of a sense that its time - we need to do something special on the world stage, he said.Weve been talking about it long enough, but this group has a certain belief, and feels a sense of responsibility for Australian basketball - for all the good stuff that goes on, the junior development, all the stuff that goes beneath this [Boomers] - needs to be noted on the world stage. The Opals have done a great job of doing that, but the men havent yet, and this group wants to get that done. The Boomers have been united in their belief that they can defy the withdrawals of Ben Simmons and Dante Exum - and the possible unavailability of hobbled big man Andrew Bogut - and push for gold at Rio.Lemanis said while the Pac 12 All-Stars didnt offer the fiercest resistance, he was pleased by his teams improvement. He said the most impressive feature was the Boomers rugged defensive pressure, which repeatedly forced the visitors into mistakes and turnovers. It was a good improvement from Tuesday night - thats what this is about, getting a bit better each day, he said.I thought we made some significant improvement defensively.[On] Tuesday night - [we were] perhaps over-anxious, trying to do too much ... sometimes its about playing smarter not harder. For the most part we were ruthless [on defence] - we need to continue to find our rhythm and spacing, but also ... reducing our turnovers, making the easy play not the spectacular play.He added the coaches had to be smart in managing Dellavedovas workload ahead of the Olympics, due to his insatiable appetite for involvement.Delly was good for his first game back, Lemanis said. Hes practised once with the group, yesterday ... we had to be smart with easing him back in.The most important thing for us is [the Boomers first Olympics clash on] August 6 - he doesnt have to be great tonight, he doesnt have to be great on July 20, he needs to be great on August 6.The challenge for us is keeping the reins on Delly - hes such an incredible worker and we need to be smart about him not overloading himself and driving himself into the ground so by the third game of the Olympics hes got nothing left. India ODI and T20I captain MS Dhoni has suffered a muscle spasm in the back during a training session today in Dhaka, a BCCI statement read. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Parthiv Patel as the back-up wicketkeeper for the upcoming Asia Cup, 2016. Parthiv Patel has been called up by India Shami, who battled back from a previous knee injury, had been included in both the Asia Cup and World T20 squads, though Bhuvneshwar Kumar will now take his place at the former. At his pre-departure news conference for the Asia Cup, Dhoni did express hopes of Shami being fit for the World Cup, with India eyeing a second global title in the format.Dhoni said: You have to keep in mind that you have to announce the 15-member squad one month before the start of the tournament. Rivers threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to rookie Keenan Allen and Nick Novak kicked four field goals to give the Chargers a 19-9 victory against the Colts on Monday night. TORONTO -- Toronto Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock briefly considered pulling Frederik Andersen in what was ultimately the worst game of his NHL career, a 7-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.Andersen gave up a career-high seven goals on only 24 shots Tuesday night, the third time in his first five starts the 27-year-old has allowed at least five goals and fourth time hes allowed four or more. Andersen is sporting an unseemly .851 save percentage so far this season.I felt like everything just bounced the wrong way and (I) wasnt able to make any saves when we needed to, Andersen said.Tampa Bay struck for four goals on the first 11 shots, including two by Steven Stamkos who matched a career-high with four points. Still Babcock stuck with his struggling No. 1, whom the Leafs acquired in a summer trade with Anaheim.Hes my guy, I want him to play, Babcock said after Torontos fifth loss in six games to start the season. So I could pull him and then say `OK I showed you! But what did I show him? To me dig in there with the rest of the guys, make the next save and give us a chance to come back and win the game. You cant do that sitting on the bench.Andersen arrived in Toronto with considerable pressure, having signed for five years and $25 million. He was instantly crowned the clubs undisputed starting goalie, a position he never held over three seasons with the Ducks. After the latest defeat, which followed a 5-4 shootout loss in Chicago, Andersen said he was still adjusting to a new team and city with infinitely brighter lights and significantly more attention. He was also trying to rediscover a confidence which has eluded him so far this fall, an injury before training camp foreshadowing a rocky October.Definitely an adjustment, he said of the move to Toronto from quieter confines in Anaheim. But youve just got to keep doing what youre doing, dont try to change too much. I think thats something that Ive got to be better at, just play my game and then the results should come.It didnt take long for Tampa Bay to get to Andersen, Stamkos scoring the games first goal 79 seconds in.Andrej Sustr intercepted Auston Matthews failed pass attempt in the Toronto zone and then found Stamkos alone behind the Leafs defense and though the Lightnings captain lost control of the puck, Leafs defenseman Matt Hunwick inadvertently batted it past his own goaltendder.ddddddddddddStamkos re-signed with the Lightning for eight years and $68 million after flirting briefly with the Leafs ahead of the July 1 signing date.Killorn upped the Tampa lead to 2-0 six minutes after Stamkos scored.Stamkos whistled a one-timer past Andersen from the top of the faceoff circle. It was second goal of the game for Stamkos and fifth in six games this season. The seven-goal shelling eclipsed Andersens previous career-high of six goals, which came last March, against the Maple Leafs.Youve just got to challenge yourself to work harder, Andersen said of digging out from the early rut. Thats the only thing to get out of it if you arent feeling like youre being hit with the puck or seeing the puck; youve got to just work harder to see it.Babcock stressed his faith in Andersen. It hasnt gone as good as he would like it to go, Babcock said. (But) were very confident in his ability. We did a lot of work in advance to know what hes capable of doing. Hes done it for three years straight. Its very important that we support him, the coach added. But hes got to get to work too and do his part.Toronto outshot Tampa 13-9 in the first but trailed 3-0.The Lightning scored their fourth goal on only their 11th shot. Stamkos fired a pass into the slot and the deflected puck eventually made its way to Hedman, who tucked in his first goal this season. In the second period Peter Hollands shot hit Bishop in the mask. The goaltender fell immediately to the ice and lost teeth on the play. He searched the ice with teammate Brian Boyle, who eventually seemed to locate the lost teeth.Bishop remained in the game, yielding a late period power-play goal to Nylander. The 20-year-old got his fourth goal and eighth point this season. Nylander, who added a third-period assist, has eight goals and 20 points in his last 18 NHL games and at least a point in five of six games this fall.Kucherov, Namestnikov and Drouin added third-period goals for Tampa, Van Riemsdyk and Matthews both scored just over a minute apart, but the late rally fell short.Matthews has 10 points in his first six NHL games, vaulting into first place in the NHL in scoring.UP NEXT:Lightning: play at Montreal on Thursday.Maple Leafs: host Florida on Thursday.
