I knew I could do well here but winning the whole thing is something you might not really expect or think about. She won 75 percent of her first-serve points and faced only one break point in the match.Siegemund showed her clay court prowess earlier in the season at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, where she defeated Simona Halep, Roberta Vinci, and Agnieszka Radwanska to reach her first WTA final as a qualifier.Set to make her Olympic debut at the Rio de Janeiro Games, she is expected to reach a career-high ranking of No. 32, which would put her in contention for a seeded entry at the upcoming U.S. Open.I got a new perspective on tennis, she said. LOS ANGELES -- When Southern California needed a big play on offense last season, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster or running back Ronald Jones usually stepped up. .With the offense searching for consistency, the pressure is on Smith-Schuster and Jones once again.A quarterback change helped Smith-Schuster get more involved in the Trojans 31-27 loss at No. 18 Utah on Friday night, but Jones was all but invisible. The sophomore had 15 yards on eight carries. For offensive coordinator Tee Martin, trying to find the right balance between run and pass, and where those touches are allocated, is still a work in progress. You try to roll with it, Martin said Tuesday. The distribution of carries between Jones, senior Justin Davis and sophomore AcaCedric Ware against the Utes was criticized on social media after USCs last-second loss dropped the Trojans to 1/3 for the first time since 2001. Davis rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, but did not touch the ball in the fourth quarter.Martin said the intent going into the game was to rotate backs while also allowing for the possibility of relying on the hot guy. The rotation happened, but Martin did not say why Davis did not carry the ball in the critical moments.Justin ran well, Martin said. Ronald ran well. And Ced came in, had a big third-down conversion, and ran well. After nearly becoming the first USC freshman to rush for 1,000 yards, Jones began this season with immense expectations. But he has not demonstrated the same explosiveness so far.In four games, Jones has rushed for just 132 yards and one touchdown, though he was limited in the win over Utah State because of a rib contusion. The majority of that production came on a 46-yard run in the third quarter of a blowout loss to Alabama in the opener, and Jones does not have a rush longer than 16 yards in two Pac-12 games.Martin believes Jones has grown as a back and is displaying a better understanding of the position, rather than simply relying on his speed and athleticism. Martin said information overload can cause a young back to become paralyzed at times but he expects Jones to work through his struggles. He is going to break loose, coach Clay Helton said. He is ultra-talented and we are going to keep on feeding him the ball. For Smith-Schuster, the initial struggles seemed to be resolved by naming redshirt freshman Sam Darnold the starting quarterback. Smith-Schuster caught eight balls for 98 yards against Utah, both season highs, and he expects to build on that performance Saturday against Arizona State. While opponents have used bracket coverage with two defenders in an attempt to limit Smith-Schuster, the Sun Devils use a wide array of pressures that leave the secondary having to defend receivers one-on-one. Though Arizona State coach Todd Graham has reduced the use of blitzes to take pressure off of his inexperienced defense backs, USC expects that to change against a quarterback making his second career start. That should give Smith-Schuster chances to deliver the big plays that have been missing. There is nobody else on the field, Smith-Schuster said. When its man-to-man, all I see is the person that is covering me and myself. Just beat that man, do your job and the ball will come.Game notes Defensive tackle Noah Jefferson could miss the next two to three weeks because of injury and academics, Helton said. Jefferson has missed the last three games with a sprained shoulder and briefly returned home to Las Vegas to attend to personal matters earlier this month. . It is a cliché dragged out by fans and pundits regularly when discussions take place around which teams are better than others. . -- James Young couldnt wait to apply those tweaks to his jump shot, and the first one he made against UT Arlington told him it could be a good night. . -- Nathan Pancel scored twice as the Sudbury Wolves defeated the North Bay Battalion 4-2 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Pittsburgh closer Jason Grilli and Los Angeles Angels counterpart Ernesto Frieri each gave up three runs Sunday. The final outcome came down to one pitch that Mike Trout missed. Pedro Alvarez homered for the fourth straight game, Starling Marte capped a three-run ninth inning with a tying single, and the Pirates added four more in the 10th to beat the Angels 10-9 and complete their first interleague sweep on the road. Trailing 6-3 entering the ninth, the Pirates pulled even against Frieri -- his second blown save in 19 attempts. The right-hander issued a leadoff walk to Neil Walker, ending his string of 22 consecutive batters retired, then gave up a single to Gaby Sanchez and a one-out grounder by pinch-hitter Andrew McCutchen that scored Walker. Next came a pinch-hit RBI double by Russell Martin over the head of rookie left fielder J.B. Shuck, followed by Martes clutch hit. "I got to hang out in the air conditioning in here for about six innings, so I felt fresh when I got out there," Martin said with a grin. "But our guys battled back and had great ABs collectively, top to bottom, and it was fun to be a part of. We have no quit, thats for sure." Martin drove in the final run -- and ultimately the decisive one -- with an RBI single in the 10th. "Ernies been throwing the ball as well as anybody in the league," losing pitcher Kevin Jepsen said. "Anybody can have a rough game. When youre pitching in the back of the pen when the game is on the line, its just more magnified. He was one strike away a couple of times, so it wasnt like he had no shot. Sometimes thats how close you come. But Ernie is very resilient and hell be fine." Alvarez led off the 10th against Jepsen (0-2) with a double to centre field over Trouts head -- seven innings after Trout had shifted over from left after an injury to Peter Bourjos. A pair of one-out walks, one of them intentional to Walker, loaded the bases and brought up Travis Snider. He promptly lined a single to left that bounced over Shucks head for an error and all the way to the fence as all three runners scored. "When those guys get guys on base, they take advantage. Thats why theyre playing as well as they are," Jepsen said. Grilli closed it out despite giving up five hits, including RBI singles by Alberto Callaspo, Shuck and Brendan Harris. The right-hander finally ended it by striking out Trout with the potential tying and winning runs at third and second. "We pushed all the chips in and got what we needed to get from our guys -- and at the end of the day, the gunslinger got it done," Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said. Mark Melancon (2-1) pitched a perfect inning for the win. Pittsburgh starter Charlie Morton was charged with six runs -- three earned -- and four hits through 5 2-3 innings in his third start of the season. The right-hander missed the first 65 games while recovering from elbow surgery last June. Pirates catcher Tony Sanchez, the teams No. 1 draft pick in 2009, went 1 for 4 in his major league debut -- as the designated hitter. His first time up he hit a ground-rule double against Joe Blanton that struck the 18-foot wall in right field halfway up and became wedged at the bottom of the out-of-town scoreboard. The ball remained there until the end of the half-inning, when a maintenance worker climbed a ladder and plucked it out before giving it to Pirates right fielder Garrett Jones. "When I walked up to the plate, my legs started shaking uncontrollably," Sanchez said. "I told (Angels catcher Chris) Iannetta: I cant stop shaking. I dont know what to do. And he said: Just breathe. Just breathe. So I took one step out of the box and took a breath, but that didnt help. Then Blanton threw me a ball that I could handle. It felt really good off the bat, and I could not stop smiling. I didnt think I was going to get the ball back. I thought it was going to be stuck up there." Blanton, who is 1-10, allowed three runs -- one earned -- and six hits in 7 1-3 innings. The right-hander struck out six, walked none and retired his last 14 batters. His only victory was May 23 during the Angels four-game sweep in Kansas City. "Sometimes you have those years," Blanton said. "Baseball is a crazy game sometimes, and youve just got to keep executing out there and doing your work between starts and dont give up no matter what happens." For the third straight game, Alvarez homered his first time up after tagging Jered Weaver on Friday and Jerome Williams on Saturday. He is hitting .272 with 19 homers and 50 RBIs over his last 55 games, after batting .089 with one RBI in his first 13 games. "Hes got his confidence back," Martin said. The Angels pulled ahead 5-1 in the second, parlaying errors by second baseman Walker and third baseman Alvarez into five runs -- three of which were unearned. Pittsburgh came back with a pair of unearned runs in the third. Bourjos hurt his left thumb on a takeout slide and came out of the game. Newly acquired Brad Hawpe entered in right as the Angeles shuffled outfielders and then drove in the teams sixth run with a two-out single in the fourth. NOTES: Albert Pujols grounded out with the bases loaded, making him 1 for 9 in those situations this season. ... Blanton is 0-12 with six no-decisions in the last 18 games in which hes allowed a home run. ... Pittsburghs only other three-game sweeps against AL clubs were at home against the White Sox in 1997, the Indians in 2001, and the Royals last June. ... Louisville?athletic director Tom Jurich said in a statement Wednesday that offensive coordinator Lonnie Galloway received a few plays from former Wake Forest radio announcer Tommy Elrod, who has since been fired for leaking confidential information to the?Demon Deacons?opponents. Nike Air Max 1 For Sale .Galloway and Elrod have known each other since 2007 and worked together on the Wake Forest football staff from 2011 to 2012.Lonnie received a call from Elrod during the week of the Wake Forest game, and some information was shared with him that week, Jurich said in a statement. Among the communication were a few plays that were sent and then shared with our defensive staff. None of the special plays were run during the course of the game. Our defense regularly prepares for similar formations every week in their normal game plan.Any other information that may have been discussed was nothing that our staff had not already seen while studying Wake Forest in their preparations for the game and the material was not given any further attention. Im disappointed that this issue has brought undue attention to our football staff as we prepare for our upcoming bowl game.Wake Forest launched an investigation into its football program last month, after a sheet featuring its own plays was discovered inside Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium the day before its Nov. 12 game against Louisville. Shortly after the investigation was launched, coach Bobby Petrino said in a statement he had no knowledge of the situation.Petrino also told ESPN on Nov. 17 that he did not have advance information.I can tell you that we didnt (have the plays), Petrino told ESPNs Mike and Mike prior to the Cardinals game against Houston. ... I can assure you that we prepare each week the way that youre supposed to prepare, and I like the fact that our team knows how to do that.On Tuesday, Wake Forest announced that Elrod provided or attempted to provide confidential game preparations to opponents several times, starting in 2014, when Dave Clawson took over as head coach.Elrod had played at Wake Forest from 1993 to 1997 and served as an assistant under Jim Grobe for 11 seasons, but Clawson declined to keep him on staff once he was hired.Elrod then took on duties with the radio broadcast team and had open access to the Wake Forest program. Wake Forest cited emails, text messages and phone records in concluding that Elrod had tried to give out the confidential information. He has since been fired from the IMG Radio Network and banned from Wake Forest athletics and its facilities.Grobe said Wednesday that for 13 years, his practices were open and held in the middle of campus for anyone to see. Clawson continued that policy as well, allowing Elrod complete access to the program not only as the radio broadcaster but as a football alum. For 13 years we had no indoor facility, no privacy, Grobe said. Anybody could come and watch us just practice. So we had no secrets for 13 years and now all of a sudden thats a big deal. We never had the ability to keep people out of our practices, so anybody who wanted to come and watch and share what we did at practice could do that and we had no ability to stop it for 13 years. Now all of a sudden its a big issue. I dont get it.The issue from Wakes perspective is Xs and Os plays were given out, and they were specific enough that a casual observer wouldnt be able to diagram on their own. In the case of the Louisville game, the reason red flags were raised is because the information that was discovered showed plays specifically drawn up for the matchup against the Cardinals -- plays that Wake Forest had never run before under Clawson.James Quander, who represents Elrod, said he was not ready to comment on the matter. In the aftermath, the Wake Forest community has reacted with a sense of shock and disbelief.Said one former player: I feel betrayed and it hurts to know every practice, game, scrimmage my teammates and I worked hard for was spoiled by a man we trusted our program to.The ACC said it is in the process of obtaining Wake Forests internal findings.Protecting competitive integrity is fundamental to the Atlantic Coast Conference. ... Based on the information provided, and any other information obtained, the league office will perform its due diligence, and as necessary, additional discussions and actions will occur, the ACC said in its statement?Wednesday.Wake Forest has played 10 different ACC schools over the past three years; among them, only Louisville has said it received plays.Clemson, Duke, Florida State, NC State, North Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Boston College and Virginia all told ESPN that they have not been contacted by Wake Forest.Notre Dame, which hosted Wake Forest in 2015, told ESPN it has not heard from the school. Utah State, an opponent of the Deacons in 2014, also said it hasnt been contacted.Louisiana-Monroe said former head coach Todd Berry and his staff were not contacted by Elrod. The two teams played in 2014, when Berry was still head coach.Nonconference Army said Wake Forest has contacted the academy as part of its internal investigation.Grobe, who spent this season coaching Baylor on an interim basis, knows Elrod well and said he talked to him Wednesday to keep his head up and love him.Its beyond incomprehensible to me, said Grobe, who had Elrod on his staff for about a decade. If Tommy made any mistakes, I know he didnt do it maliciously.Grobe was asked whether he thought Elrod was capable of this when Elrod was on his staff at Wake. Not at all. Tommys a coach, Grobe said. When you talk to other coaches, you tend to talk football. My guess -- and this is just a total guess on my part -- but sometimes as a coach, you talk coach stuff and you may say too much. We talk football.I dont know if thats the case, but I just know theres no maliciousness in Tommy Elrod. I was just shocked when I heard this. He certainly wouldnt want to hurt Wake Forest.ESPN Staff Writer Heather Dinich contributed to this report. AUBURN, Ala. Black Nike Air Max 1 . -- Before the Auburn Tigers even started fall camp, amid already diminished expectations, they lost their most productive player.Tigers coach Gus Malzahn dismissed tailback Jovon Robinson hours before the first practice, leaving a team already seeking a quarterback with another significant void in the backfield. How well those two jobs get filled will go a long way toward deciding whether Auburn and Malzahns fast-paced offense rebound strongly or continue going in the wrong direction.Malzahn said the leadership is as strong as any team hes had. Theyve got a chip on their shoulder and theyve got something to prove, he said. That starts with the offense, which ranked 110th in passing offense and 94th in total yards thanks largely to the struggles of quarterbacks Jeremy Johnson and Sean White. The result was just a pair of Southeastern Conference wins two seasons after winning a league title and making the national championship game.Robinson emerged as the top runner late in the season though Peyton Barber topped 1,000 yards. Malzahn did not elaborate on the reasons for his dismissal, but it leaves sophomore Kerryon Johnson as the only returning back who logged a carry last season. Fullback Kamryn Pettway has moved to tailback, and Johnson is joined by freshman Kam Martin, a late addition who was released from his scholarship with Baylor.Weve been one of the better rushing teams in our league, I guess, for six years and well continue to be that, Malzahn said.Theyre going to need to be strong on the ground again with no established quarterback and having to replace two of the top three players in an already-thin receiving corps.Defensively, the line is well-stocked with highly rated recruits, including tackle Montravius Adams and end Carl Lawson, who has star potential but has battled injury problems. Guards Alex Kozan and Braden Smith anchor the offense.Graduate transfer T.J. Neal, who started 25 games for Illinois the past two seasons, joins Tre Williams at linebacker. Safety Rudy Ford has led the Tigers in tackles two straight years and cornerback Carlton Davis had a promising freshman season.SEASON OPENEROpening with national runner-up Clemson and quarterback Deshaun Watson, a Heisman Trophy finalist, is a huge challenge for a team trying to rebuild in a number of areas. The good news is its the first of five straight home games.WHOS THE QB? Junior college transfer John Franklin III is trying to challenge Johnson and White, who both had uninspiring stints as the starter last season. Franklin is the biggest running threat, but never won the starting job at either Florida State or junior college and has little experience. Multiple receivers from a strong signing class at the position will also have to step up in the passing game.STEELES DEFENSEKevin Steele is the teams third defensive coordinator in as many years and fourth in five seasons. The veteran former LSU, Clemson and Alabama coordinator is one of five new assistants on Malzahns staff.PREDICTIONThe Tigers have been at their best when outsiders arent expecting much from them -- and at their worst when theyre drawing loads of preseason buzz. After two straight disappointing seasons, they fall in the former category now while picked toward the bottom of the SEC West. There are a few games that seem like toss-ups, but 7-5 seems like a reasonable outcome. To blow past that win total would require improved quarterback play from last season and strides from the defense, plus the emergence of Kerryon Johnson or another tailback as a reliable go-to runner.---AP college football website: Nike Air Max 1 From China . Sebastian Vettel is happy Ferrari took a risk with his Japanese Grand Prix strategy and does not think a different tyre choice at the final stint would have improved on his fourth-place finish.Having moved up to third in the early part of the race, Vettel stayed out for longer at the second round of pit stops, leading the race briefly. Though Lewis Hamilton successfully undercut Vettel at the second stop, Ferrari fitted soft tyres to the Germans car in an attempt to catch and pass the reigning world champion, who was on the hard compound. However, despite several laps right on Hamiltons tail, Vettels tyres soon faded and he finished some 15 seconds behind Hamilton.?Explaining the strategy, Vettel said: We decided to go longer in order to come back at the end of the race. Unfortunately the way it turned out the soft tyre didnt last very long and on top of that we lost a position as well to Lewis. But if you look at the position at the end to Lewis, I dont think there was anything we could have done to hold him because the gap to the podium ultimately too big.Vettel admits backmarkers did not makke the job of staying far enough ahead of and then catching Hamilton any easier. Nike Air Max 1 For Sale. In the end, with what we tried to do, I think it was the right thing to take the risk and try to make it work. I think we werent lucky today with when we hit the blue flags around the track. Lewis I think was gaining around four seconds around the lapped cars at that point.Thats how it goes, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, he seemed to always clear the cars on the straights whereas I was pretty often stuck for the majority of the first sector or the middle part of the track and lost quite a bit of time. But thats how it goes sometimes.Despite being a vocal critic of backmarkers during the race, Vettel refused to blame them for finishing off the podium.Asked if traffic cost him a place in the top three, he replied: Not really, because if you look at the degradation on the soft tyre was too high and the gap of 14 seconds to that group at the end of the race was too big. CLEVELAND -- Preseason Game No. Brandon Marshall Jersey . 2 was a good nights work for Robert Griffin III.It was probably more than a good nights work. It was an excellent nights work as Griffin continues to try to revive his career with the?Cleveland Browns.Six days after a lackluster performance in Green Bay, Griffin played the majority of the first half and acccounted for 132 total yards against the Atlanta Falcons. He threw touchdown passes of 50 and 29 yards in five possessions and added runs of 14 and 22 yards. His 132 yards were 83 percent of the Browns total offense. His passer rating: 154.2.I thought he played pretty well, thought he did a good job of taking care of the ball and distributing the ball to some of our playmakers, coach Hue Jackson said.It would be tough to ask for more from Griffin, whose 50-yard TD went to Terrelle Pryor, who streaked past Desmond Trufant to catch the ball on the run. In two games, Pryor and Griffin have combined for receptions of 49 and 50 yards. The second TD was a better throw, and it went to tight end Gary Barnidge, who was past Keanu Neal.I thought he took care of the ball better. Obviously, were in the scoring zone and he didnt turn it over, Jackson said. He was able to make a huge play to Gary Barnidge down the sideline. Where last week we were in a similar situation and it wasnt the right situation and he turned it over. Thats improvement to me.The ball was put where only Barnidge could get it, and he reached out and grabbed it before tumbling into the end zone.I think it was [a step forward], Jackson said. We were able to get things cooking a little bit. Working the long ball. Still got a lot of things to work on. The Vancouver Canucks are reportedly speaking to John Tortorella about their head coaching vacancy. Cheap Air Max 270 Yellow . RDS is reporting that the former New York Rangers bench boss is one of the strong candidates to replace the fired Alain Vigneault. In recent weeks, the Canucks showed interest in Dallas Eakins; whom they interviewed twice before he was hired by the Edmonton Oilers on Monday. Tortorella was dismissed from the Rangers on May 30 following New Yorks second-round loss to the Boston Bruins. In 319 regular-season games with New York, Tortorella went 171-118-1-29. He was 19-25 in the post-season and reached the playoffs in four of five seasons after taking over as coach in February 2009. For their part, the Rangers are believed to have spoken to Vigneault about their head coaching job. Canucks general manager Mike Gillis told the TEAM 1040 in Vancouver on Friday that the team was still going to interview "four or five more" candidates for their head coaching job. He suggested that they wanted to have a new bench boss in place before the free agency period opens on July 5. The Vikings announced Thursday that Priefer will be one of seven holdovers from the previous staff, along with offensive line coach Jeff Davidson, wide receivers coach George Stewart and others. Norv Turner will mark his 30th year of coaching in the NFL as the offensive co-ordinator, as widely reported for weeks, and George Edwards will be the defensive co-ordinator. As part of ESPN Fantasys efforts to give intel to daily gamers about whom to target in DFS, our fantasy golf experts are here to share which players they view as building blocks for this weekends event. The panel for the John Deere Classic features Jonathan Coachman, Bob Harig, Michael Collins, Will Harris, David Jayne and Jason Sobel, as well as FantasyGolfInsiders Jeff Bergerson, Jason Rouslin, Zach Turcotte and Taras Pitra.Note: Golfer salaries listed are for DraftKings.Jason Sobel -- Zach Johnson ($13,000)Thats right -- Im taking the guy with a John Deere logo on his golf bag to win the John Deere. Makes sense, doesnt it? But Johnson isnt just bound to this tournament by contractual ties; he loves this event and tends to play very well here. Without a victory yet this year, hes due for a big week.Michael Collins -- Jerry Kelly ($9,400)While everyone else zigs for Zach Johnson and Steve Stricker, Im gonna zag and say Jerry Kelly. Before his last two events, Kelly had missed four straight cuts. Now he gets to be fresher than most because hes played in zero majors this year and is hitting his stride just a little late in the season.Jonathan Coachman -- Jon Rahm ($11,400)This week is ripe for a first-time winner to take the trophy. Certainly disappointed that Jordan Spieth has decided not to return despite not playing in Rio. But in my gut just like with Spieth a few years ago, this could be the beginning of something special. I am going with Jon Rahm. He has proven he can play at this level and now that he has temporary status he doesnt need to worry about his spot. Now he can worry about winning, which he will do this week.Bob Harig -- Zach Johnson ($13,000)Theres just no going against the two-time major winner at this tournament, a virtual home game for the guy who grew up in Iowa. Johnson loves the tournament, where he has a win. And hes been under 70 in each of his last 28 rounds at TPC Deere Run.Jeff Bergerson -- Hudson Swafford ($8,000)In a week where there is going to be a lot of unpredictability around guys making the cut, Swafford is someone who seems safe to me. He has made nine consecutive cuts, including a T-38 last week at Travelers and T-14 at the RBC Canadian Open three weeks ago. His only tournament history here is a missed cut two years ago and a 35th-place finish last year. This year he has been much more consistent and at $8,000 he will anchor my balanced cash games rosters.Zachary Turcotte -- Spencer Levin ($7,400)We do not have a lot to work with in the lower-priced tier of players this week, so we need to dig a little deeper into some names that most probably have not paid a lot of attention to over the last few months. Spencer Levin started out the fall season strong with three top-25 finishes in his first four starts, but then stumbled a bit and became inconsistent for much of the middle of the year. However, over the last couple of months, he has quietly returned to form in making the cut in seven of his last eight starts including three top-15 finishes. Cheap Air Max 270 Purple. He has also been a solid cut maker at the John Deere Classic where he has made his last four cuts dating back to 2009. He does not have the highest upside, but he should be able to get to the weekend.Jason Rouslin -- Aaron Wise ($7,000)Getting one of his first starts as a pro, Wise comes in hot winning his last start on the Mackenzie Tour. A decorated college career, capped off with an NCAA Championship, Aaron is a rising star on tour. I look for him to have a strong finish to the PGA Tour season and either earn his card by winning an event, or earning a spot into the tour finals and earning his tour card with a strong finish to those events.Taras Pitra -- Adam Hadwin ($7,500)Hadwin seems like the only golfer Canada can rely on when needed. The last time he was priced like someone whos won on Tour he didnt meet value, but he did make the cut and was a very contrarian play. I think this is another week to take advantage of low ownership on Hadwin and expect some greater returns. Hell need to continue to score on the Par 5s this week, which is fine considering all but one is reachable with his length off the tee.David Jayne -- Shawn Stefani ($7,000)Stefani got a little too aggressive during the final round last year, shooting the second-worst round on Sunday which dropped him from 3rd to 35th on the leaderboard. This was a disappointment after his 13th-place finish the year before, however fantasy-wise he was the aggregate leader in par 5 scoring playing them at 20 under the past two years (13 birdies and four eagles). Although he lacked form at the beginning of the year he comes into this event off his best three consecutive rounds all year needing a solid finish to move up from his current 136th ranking in the FedEx cup standings. I wouldnt be surprised to see Shawn deliver a top-20 finish which is all we ask for from this price range. Will Harris -- Spencer Levin ($7,400)One of the weaker fields on tour this year, the John Deere doesnt offer many bright spots outside the top 15 or so in the DK salary order. With four straight made cuts, 12 consecutive rounds at par or better and top-15 finishes in his last two starts, Levin is one of the few golfers outside the favorites whos showing trending form of late.He doesnt own the best record at TPC Deere Run, ranking just 31st in adjusted scoring against the field over the past 15 years. But he is 4-for-4 at this track since joining the PGA Tour in 2009, and seven of those 16 rounds have been 67s or better. Thats not a bad resume for $7,400 in a week where the bottom half of the draw offers very little in the way of promising dark horse values. MINNEAPOLIS -- The Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves seemed to be two teams on similar paths; young rosters filled with high draft picks to develop with new coaches. .While Minnesotas youth seemed to be further along and the Timberwolves were considered an upstart team to begin the season, Los Angeles has adapted the quickest with its new pieces gelling under coach Luke Walton. The two teams get their first chance at each other Sunday as each will play the second game of back-to-back situations. The Lakers (6-4) showed their growth again on Saturday night in New Orleans, cruising to a 126-99 victory against the Pelicans. Los Angeles has won five of its past six games.I think our guys love competing, Walton said. I think they feel more challenged in the second half to go get it done. Its almost as if when the game starts, you know we have 48 minutes to get it done. Obviously, we dont want that ... but its a process.Under coach Tom Thibodeau, Minnesota has struggled to open the season, especially on the defensive end. The Timberwolves (2-6) lost at home to the league-leading Los Angeles Clippers 119-105 on Saturday night, giving up 21 fast-break points to Los Angeles and allowing the Clippers to shoot 52.6 percent from the field and make 11 of 24 3-pointers.Right now were not consistent enough, Thibodeau said. We have to build the right habits. Defensively its hard to win when you give up 119 points.Defensive improvement was expected under Thibodeau for a team that has long struggled to stop opponents. The transition is proving to take time. Minnesota has allowed 119 points in two of its past three games. Opponents have scored more than 102 in all but one game. The Timberwolves did get point guard Ricky Rubio back in the lineup on Saturday after he missed five games with a sprained right elbow. Rubio had seven points, six rebounds and six assists in the loss.Im trying to find a rhythm, trying to find how to run the team too, Rubio said. First game back after a couple weeks, just get the rust off.Minnesotas talent has shined at times on the offensive end. The Timberwolves have two players averaging more than 20 points per game in forward Andrew Wiggins (23.8) and center Karl-Anthony Towns (22.1). Guard Zach LaVine was also above the mark before he was held to 15 points on 7 of 15 shooting on Saturday.Wiggins struggled against the Clippers league-best defense on Saturday. He scored 22 points but was constantly harassed and shot just 8 of 24.The Lakers had no trouble shooting Saturday against New Orleans, particularly from Los Angeles guards and bench.Jordan Clarkson scored 23 points and Williams added 21 for the Lakers, who entered the game leading the league with 48.8 points per game from their bench.Me and Lou are going to be real aggressive coming in. Were trying to do a good job of leading this second group, bringing the energy, scoring the ball, pushing the pace, Clarkson told the Associated Press. Coach gave that to us. Thats our role and thats what were going to do.Including starters DeAngelo Russell (22 points) and Nick Young (15), the Lakers backcourt accounted for 81 points on 31-of-51 shooting, including 15 of 25 from 3-point range. We got some great guards -- we got some killers, Russell said. Its up to us to go out there and maintain it and do it every game.Los Angeles rookie Brandon Ingram left Saturdays game with a sprained ankle but told the Associated Press he could have returned if the game was closer.Of course, these are two teams used to integrating high draft picks. Towns was picked No. 1 overall a year ago, one spot ahead of Russell. In 2014, Wiggins was the top pick by Cleveland before being traded to Minnesota. The Lakers took Julius Randle seventh overall.Ingram was this years second pick and the Timberwolves went with Kris Dunn at No. 5. . 10 VCU 85-67 on Thursday night at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off. The Seminoles (4-0) have scored at least 80 points in each of their games. .Y. -- Injured Buffalo Sabres forward Marcus Foligno did not practice with the team Monday and head coach Ron Rolston said its unlikely hell play in Wednesdays season opener in Detroit. .Y. -- Leading 3-0 with only 11:25 left, the Colorado Avalanche committed a seemingly meaningless penalty to give the New York Islanders a power play. WICHITA, Kan. -- A judge has agreed to halt court proceedings against former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle until he receives another mental evaluation. The Wichita Eagle reports that defense attorney Steven Mank sought the delay Thursday. The prosecution didnt object. The 24-year-old Randle was deemed competent in June to stand trial on charges that he hit people with his car during a housewarming party and dodged police trying to sserve him with a warrant. . He also is charged in two other cases.A bench trial set for Thursday in one of the cases didnt happen because of Manks request. The other three cases had been set for jury trials next week.A report from the mental evaluation is expected to be completed within about two weeks. Its going to be my forehand to his backhand, quipped Ramkumar in the aftermath of the draw. The 203rd-ranked Indian will play Rafael Nadal in the opening singles rubber of the World Group play-off tie on Friday, while Saketh Myneni will face David Ferrer in the days second encounter. The mood was light as the Indians settled into their positions at the dais for queries. The lopsided match-ups have relieved them of pressure. A win isnt anticipated. Were the underdogs and have to find a way to put everything on the line, Saketh added. For the five-time champions, the strength of the team theyre fielding is a fair indication of the measure of seriousness that they attach to the outcome of the tie.Having been out of the World Group of the Davis Cup competition for two years now, the desperation to climb back to their rightful spot is palpable. Maybe we have better names and were ranked higher, said Nadal, but Indian players know the conditions well and will have the home advantage. For Ramkumar, its a dream come true. He knows the odds are stacked against him and senses it as an opportunity to play his heart out, with his parents, whove travelled from Chennai, watching him from the stands. The doubles contest on Saturday will have this years US Open semi-finalists Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez taking on the Indian duo of Leander Paes and Saketh. With Rohan Bopanna opting out of the tie, Saketh, now features in the teams plans prominently. It, however, remains to be seen whether his body can weather the rigours of best of five sets under such humid conditions.Saketh, as of now, figures in all the three days of competition. Its likely though that the fourth player, Sumit Nagal could be handed a chance in the reverse singles, depending on how the results of the first two days shape up.The idea, Indias non-playing captain Anand Amritraj proffered, would be to keep the first few games close, dish out some aggressive tennis and then get the crowd involved. This, hoping that Nadal takes some time to settle in, Amritraj, butted in over a gregarious laugh, At least we pray he does. All White Air Max 97 . Mark Cavendish claimed his fourth stage win of the 2016 Tour de France and 30th of his career as rival Marcel Kittel was left fuming behind. Vapormax Plus Sunset .Cavendishs win on stage 14 to the Parc des Oiseaux in Villars-les-Dombes was not confirmed until commissaries had reviewed the footage, but Kittel was angered by their decision to uphold the result.Kittel believed Cavendish cut him off in the final metres, and the German could be seen waving an arm in anger as the Manxman crossed the line ahead of Norwegian Alexander Kristoff of Katusha and Tinkoffs world champion Peter Sagan in third.Cavendish said he had no idea there was a problem until he was waiting to speak to television reporters after the finish. Obviously I didnt see it because I was in front, the Dimension Data rider said. The first I knew of it was when I was waiting to give the flash interview at the finish. It is a coming together but if you look were next to the barriers and its him coming off the barriers more than anything.I havent spoken to him. He hit me on the back after but I thought he was saying well done.Kittel, who made his move first but ended up finishing fifth behind fellow German John Degenkolb, was unimpressed.I started my sprint, I was on the inside, really well positioned, the Etixx-QuickStep rider said. Then just before the line, he moved to the right, touched my shoulder and I had to brake. If I say what I think is fair ... It wasnt fair, the decision of the jury wasnt correct. Im pretty p-----. But I dont want to point the finger at Cavendish, hes a great champion. The 208.5km stage from Montelimar had finished with a three kilometre straight directly into a headwind which broke up the sprint trains, and Cavendish bided his time as he lurked behind the big frame of Kittel. After the German lit it up, Cavendish burst off his wheel -- a move he believes was down to the work he has done on the track before the Rio Olympics. This is turning into a vintage July for Cavendish, who has more wins in this Tour than he did in the previous three combined.?It was the sixth stage win for a British rider in this years Tour as Cavendishs team-mate Steve Cummings won stage seven and Team Skys Chris Froome -- who finished safely in the pack to retain the yellow jersey -- took stage eight. There has been speculation throughout the Tour that Cavendish would at some point withdraw to focus on Rio, but with such strong form he will have an eye on a fifth career victory on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.Theres two more sprint opportunities, I think, he said. Ive said Im not going to put myself over the edge so if I get sick or fall off I wont, but Im in good shape, the teams in good morale so Ill carry on as long as I can.As France began three days of national mourning, there was a minutes silence prior to the start of the stage to honour the victims of Thursdays terrorist attack in Nice.Ahead of Sundays mountainous 160km stage from Bourg-en-Bresse to Culoz, Froome leads by one minute and 47 seconds from Trek-Segafredos Bauke Mollema, and was grateful for a day of calm in the general classification battle.Todays stage was quite welcome after the last few days of racing, said Froome, who endured a stressful finish on Thursday when reduced to running up Mont Ventoux on foot following a crash before extending his lead in yellow in Fridays time trial.Briton Adam Yates of Orica-BikeExchange remains third, two minutes and 45 seconds down with Nario Quintana of Movistar fourth, two minutes and 59 seconds back. NEW YORK -- Detroit Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy says he has used the term posse before, and it was always in regards to minorities.A day after LeBron James criticized Knicks President Phil Jackson for using the word in an interview to describe James friends and business partners, Van Gundy was reflective Wednesday when thinking about his own words, calling on people to be aware of their language and attitudes.Im going to be perfectly honest here, Ive used that word before, OK, Van Gundy said, and when that all came out I had to ask myself, have I ever used that word before with a white player, and the answer is no. So, I think, look, you have to be aware of the language and you have to be aware a little bit of your own biases if youre going to overcome them and so I took that seriously. In the ESPN interview , Jackson recalled a time when James asked for the Miami Heat to stay over in Cleveland whilee on a road trip, a request that put coach Erik Spoelstra in a bind. You cant hold up the whole team because you and your mom and your posse want to spend an extra night in Cleveland, Jackson said.Van Gundy, speaking before his Pistons played the Knicks, said he never used the term publicly but had when speaking with people he knows and it has never been in conjunction with a white player. And so I think at the time where youre going to call out other people on attitudes, I think you need to be willing to look in the mirror and call yourself out, he added. I dont think Ive used that term in a long, long, long time, but I think going back to my days as an assistant when I was younger I know in the past I have used that term. Im just being honest and its not right.
